Experience the enchanting beauty of Kiruna's arctic wilderness on our Winter Wonderland Dogsledding tour together with our friends at Sleddog Kiruna. Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pick-up by your friendly guide, who will drive you to the kennel. Upon arrival, you'll be provided with warm clothing to ensure your comfort throughout the journey. Meet the playful and affectionate Alaskan huskies, who will greet you with enthusiasm. If you're up for it, you can join in harnessing the dogs, adding a hands-on touch to your experience. Once the dogs are ready, sit back and enjoy an silent and exciting ride through snow-covered pine and birch forests, and across frozen lakes whilst being driven in the sled by the experienced dogsledding guide.

Our approximately 15 km trail heads north towards the Rautas river valley, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Midway through the tour, we’ll pause at a traditional Sami tent where you can warm up by the fire with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy some home-baked cake. On clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of Sweden’s highest peak, Kebnekaise. Throughout the tour, the silence of the arctic will surround you, but feel free to ask your guide any questions about the dogs or the environment. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos and play with our huskies, capturing memories to last a lifetime.

After the thrilling ride, we invite you to a tasty lunch in a cozy teepee. Savor a lovely meal, reflecting on the beauty of the landscapes you’ve just traversed. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, and once it concludes, we will head off back towards Abisko, ensuring a seamless and memorable adventure from start to finish.

GOOD TO KNOW:

• This activity takes place nearby Luossavaara, near Kiruna. Round trip transportation from Abisko & Björkliden is included.
  
• You may have to share a sled with other people. We allow up to 4 people per sled.
• The actual time on the sled is approximately 2 x 30 minutes but can be slightly shorter or longer depending on snow conditions.
  
• Minimum age allowed for this activity is 4 years old.
